The following information was sent to me by a distant cousin, I have not seen this paperwork:
Lanier, by Louise Ingersoll, US/CAN 929.273 272 at Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah gives Lanier descendants. Information on p. 378.
Sarah Lanier was born abt 1686, Charles City Co, Virginia, the d/o John Lanier, Jr. and his second wife Sarah, the widow of William Edmunds. Sarah Lanier married about 1705 in Surry County, George BREWER, The will of George BREWER, dated July 2, 1744, and presented in Court August 2, 1744 by Alice BREWER, his second wife, and his son Howell, executors. His will names his ten children by Sarah, and speaks of "our young children" by my wife Alice. Sarah Lanier died between 1724 and 1729. Buried in Meherrin Parish.
Page 385 gives the following information: "George BREWER's son, Burwell BREWER, by his second wife Alice, was born 1730 Surry County, Virginia and died 1799 Wilkes County, Georgia m. Elizabeth Patrick who died 1800. Only known son of George and Alice BREWER.
